Jon Jones flagged for potential anti-doping violation; Lesnar vs Hunt new main event

We thought UFC 200 couldn’t get any more insane, we were wrong.

Tonight, news has emerged that Jon Jones has been flagged by USADA for a potential PED violation. The test in question was an out of competition test which took place on 16th June 2016.

Brock Lesnar vs Mark Hunt will now serve as the three round main event of UFC 200. UFC president Dana White revealed that the promotion are seeking a late replacement to fight Daniel Cormier.

The former light-heavyweight champion was due to unify his interim belt with current champion Daniel Cormier on top of the biggest card in the sport’s history. That, now, will not happen.

For Jones (22-1) it’s the latest hiccup in a mad year. Last year, he was stripped of his belt following a hit-and-run incident, which followed a series of indecretions including a drug test failure for cocaine, additional motor related charges and a few nights in jail.

The UFC released this statement and Dana White called an impromptu press conference tonight which you can see below:
