Brian Moore finishes Michal Horejs at Bellator 177; calls for spot on Bellator’s MSG event

Wexford native Brian Moore took on Michal Horejsi at Bellator 177 in Budapest, Hungary tonight and moved to 10-5 as a professional securing the knockout with ground and pound after dropping his opponent with some elbows and a knee in the second round after a dominant opening round.

We spoke to Moore minutes after his victory and he revealed that he wants to open the Bellator 180 show on 24th June 2017 in Madison Square Garden.

“I felt great in there. I was patient on the ground and I dominated on the feet. I feel it was mature performance. My shots are too heavy for anyone in this division.”

“I threw my standing elbow through his guard and hurt him and went from that to a left knee.”

“I want on another show as soon as possible. I want to open the show in Madison Square Garden.”

This was the SBG Ireland man’s second appearance inside the Bellator cage following a loss to veteran Daniel Weichel in December. Prior to that, Moore notched up impressive victories over Tommy McCafferty and Mick Brennan as he returned from an 18 month hiatus from the sport.
