Mike “300” Hayes vs DJ Linderman set for Cage Warriors 47: Dublin

Mike “300” Hayes will make his debut defence of his CWFC heavyweight title in an all-American main event grudge match against DJ Linderman at Cage Warriors 47 at The Helix in Dublin, Ireland on June 2.

There’s been no love lost between the former Bellator pair since their clash in 2009, which finished in a unanimous decision victory for Linderman.

Hayes (18-4-1) will get an opportunity for revenge in the Irish capital next month, when he’ll fight for the first time since being crowned CWFC champion courtesy of a third-round submission win against Andreas Kraniotakes at CWFC Fight Night 4 in Dubai back in March.

Linderman (11-3-0) earned his title shot by defeating Bobby Brents via unanimous decision in the main event at CWFC Fight Night 5 in Amman last month.

Following that victory, Linderman said: “Mike Hayes is next. I’m taking that belt.”

However, Hayes is adamant he’ll reverse the result of that defeat to Linderman three years ago, insisting: “I can’t stand DJ Linderman. He’s a piece of trash. I’m going to smash him.”

Hayes versus Linderman headlines Cage Warriors 47, which will also feature the meeting of Conor McGregor and Dave Hill for the CWFC featherweight title.
