Anderson Silva set to open as biggest betting favourite in UFC history ahead of UFC 153

According to early betting lines from Nick Kalikas of MMAOddsbreaker.com, Anderson Silva will be the biggest ever betting favourite in the UFC’s history, having been installed as a -1350 favourite, when he faces Stephan Bonnar in a 3 round 205lbs bout at UFC 153 in Brazil.

Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva is currently riding a 15 UFC fight win streak, having never lost in the promotion and is widely considered the best fighter of all time.

Stephan ‘The American Psycho’ Bonnar is currently on a 3 fight win streak, which started with a fight of the night TKO victory over Krzysztof Soszynski back in July 2010.

Last month UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was installed as a -925 favourite over Vitor Belfort who he faces at UFC 152.

September 2012 will have, baring even more injuries, the two most lop-sided UFC main events, in terms of betting, in the promotions history.
