Neil Seery set for first title defense at Cage Warriors 62 in Newcastle, England

Cage Warriors flyweight champion Neil Seery is set to defend his belt for the first time on 7th December at Cage Warriors 62 in Newcastle, England.

The Irishman captured the belt back in June at Cage Warriors 55 with a third round armbar victory over the highly touted Mikael Silander.

The Team Ryano product has won his last 4 fights, finishing 3 of the 4 opponents in spectacular fashion, including a body kick finish over Paul Marin, who had never been finished.

Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan made the announcement via twitter

“Breaking NEWS: Just confirmed @NeilSeeryMMA will defend his flyweight CWFC World Title Dec 7th @arenanewcastle, challenger TBC ! #cwfc62”

Cage Warriors 62 also features newly crowned bantamweight champion and tournament winner Brett Johns takes on James Brum, who is 6-0 inside the Cage Warriors cage.

Also on the card, SBG Ireland’s Liam James will fight in his hometown against Ian Entwistle.
