Following the confirmation last night that Aisling Daly has officially signed for the UFC there was another noteworthy deal for an SBG fighter this morning as news broke that Chris Fields had signed with English promotion BAMMA.

Fields will return to action on February 21st 2015 when he faces off against French middleweight Cheick Kone who is currently riding a four fight winning streak.

The Dubliners’ last professional fight was 18 months ago when he fought Norman Paraisy to a draw at Cage Warriors 55. Since then, though, Fields has featured on season 19 of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ where he won his fight to get into the house but was beaten by Matt Van Buren in the quarter finals.

Fields told BAMMA’s official website; “I’m looking forward to putting my shin on some guys chin for all the BAMMA fans. They should expect the best version of me that’s ever existed. I’m always searching for the finish!”

Fields is a former Cage Warriors middleweight champion who has amassed an impressive 10-5-1 record in his MMA career to date. He joins Hayden Critchfield, Krzystof Klaczek, Cheick Kone and Alexei Roberts as new signings on a landmark day for BAMMA.
