KSW 33 will host one of the most anticipated fights in Europe this year between Mamed Khalidov and Michal Materla. Materla is the current champion and has defended it four times, most recently against Tomasz Drwal in May. He has got a 22-4 record with 12 submissions. Khalidov has had a very long career and is currently in a 10 fight winning streak with some good wins including Matt Lindland, Kendall Grove, Melvin Manhoef and Brett Cooper. Kalidov has had only two decisions in his career, with 17 submissions and 11 KO/TKOs. Both men have been considered amongst the best middleweights outside the UFC and it is great to see them finally fight, I hope it lives up to the billing and they deliver a great fight.

The KSW heavyweight title will also be on the line on Saturday. Karol Bedorf will be defending his title against Michal Kita. Bedorf defeated Peter Graham in his fight and stopped Rolles Gracie in the first round before that to really establish himself as the best heavyweight in KSW. He will face the 16-7 Michal Kita. Kita has been around the block, he has some decent names on his resume including Oleksiy Oliynyk and Valentijn Overeem but Bedorf is the big favourite here.

Closer to home Battlezone 14 takes place at The Regency Hotel, Dublin. It is headlined by a catchweight 165 pound match between Joe McColgan and Tom Hogan. Hogan had a very successful amateur career and he was victorious in his professional debut at Cage Kings in August.

On Saturday in Newcastle it is Made For The Cage 19. The main event is a welterweight title fight between Colin Fletcher and Vincent del Guerra. Fletcher was beaten in The Ultimate Fighter final by Norman Parke and he was released by the UFC following a defeat to Mike Ricci. A recent defeat to Andre Winner in BAMMA snapped a two fight winning streak for Fletcher so he is looking to get back on track here. Guerra is a journeyman but he has a poor record outside of France and Fletcher should be beating him.

Also at welterweight on that card is Matt Inman versus Lewis Long. Both of these are ex Cage Warriors fighters, but Quinn has only fought once since his last fight in Cage Warriors and it was a defeat to Lewis Long. Inman has been far more active and he has three wins all by stoppage in 2015.

Jungle Fight 83 is the best action from Brazil this weekend and it is headlined by a featherweight title fight between Otto Rodrigues and Deroci Barbosa. Barbosa is 10-0 with five submissions, at only 24 years old. Rodrigues trains with Jacare and company at XGym and he has a 9-1 record. He captured the title in July and this will be his first defence.
