Norman Parke posted to his Facebook page earlier tonight and revealed that he has been cut from the UFC.

Many speculated that he may be attempting an April Fools joke, even though he said in his post that he wasn’t, but Severe MMA have confirmed the news of his release with Norman tonight.

The post reads as follows;

“I just wanna say a huge thanks to the ufc for giving me the great opportunity to compete at the highest level in combat sports.. Iv had many great memories that will stay with me forever!! Im now looking to fight this summer so what ever comes up il be ready to go!! On any show anywhere..

Thank you to all my fans for following my journey.

I will be back 👍👊👊

This aint no April fools joke.”

The Ulsterman fought eight times inside the Octagon and went 5-3-1.

The 4 fights he failed to win were all close decisions while the highlights of his career were two tremendous wins at two consecutive UFC Dublin fight nights.
