Norman Parke is set for FCC (Final Fight Championship) 26 in Linz, Austria and will be fighting undefeated striker Vladimir Sikic (10-0-1) on 23rd September 2016.

Norman Parke’s recent release from the UFC was seen as harsh by most fans after the Northern Irishman had gone 5-3-1 inside the promotion with his losses coming via close decisions.

Vlado Sikic has 9 finishes from his 10 wins, with only his debut and his draw with Islam Maganadov going to a decision.

This bout had been reported previously back in May 2016 but when Parke prematurely announced the fight via his social media the promotion responded angrily saying they weren’t sure if they “still want to cooperate with Parke”

FCC confirmed the bout via their website.

We spoke to Parke after the bout announcement who isn’t impressed by Sikic fighting “a bunch of guys with losing records”:

“I just saw he announced it on his Facebook, a mate of mine texted me to say.. he’s talking about this is his ticket to the UFC, well all I got say is good luck to him, he better be prepared, he fought a bunch of guys with losing records. He’s getting smoked!”

“All but one of my fights outside the UFC were finishes, I’m going back to train my hardcore judo days where we wrestled hard, the last few years I haven’t been getting any wrestling around here, in the USA it was great wrestling.

“When I fought Khabilov I had no wrestling training, I talked with him after the fight and he was training with Olympic wrestlers every day. I know what I need to do.”
