UK prospect Luis Gonzalez vs Yosuke Saruta set for SHOOTO in July

[Press Release] Rising UK prospect, and Titan Fighter standout, Luis Gonzalez (7-2) is set to make his strawweight debut with legendary Japanese promotion, Shooto.

Gonzalez is booked to face Shooto veteran Yosuke Saruta (12-7-2) on July 17, at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo.

On the move to strawweight, Gonzalez commented:

“Opportunities like this don’t come around very often! In the UK there’s not often opportunities to fight in this weight class, so I’m excited to make the move to strawweight, and to do so on a show like Shooto is a dream come true.”

Renowned home for lighter weight classes, Shooto has held almost 450 events now and is recognised as one of Asia’s premier MMA shows. The event will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass.
