Rhys McKee off BAMMA 32 after injury to Josh Collins

Multiple sources confirmed to Severe MMA today that the scheduled welterweight bout between Northern Ireland’s Rhys McKee and England’s Josh Collins has been scrapped from the BAMMA 32 card after Collins was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Rhys has been removed from the card after attempts from the promotion to secure a replacement were unsuccessful.

We spoke with a disappointed McKee upon hearing the news:

“I’ve absolutely gutted not to get to compete on the Dublin card. I was raring to go. I’ve been ready to go for a few months now and it’s tough to get fights but I’m working towards getting an opponent for the upcoming Newcastle card on December 16th”

Last week, Dubliner Paul Redmond was added to the Bellator 187 card and will face Sergio De Jesus Santos in a 161lb catchweight bout.

BAMMA 32 takes place at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Friday 10th November 2017 and will be another co-promotion with Bellator MMA. The BAMMA portion of the card will serve as the undercard to Bellator 187.

The Bellator 187 portion of the event will be headlined by Irishman Brian Moore (10-5) against undefeated American A.J. McKee Jr. (9-0.).

The BAMMA 32 portion features BAMMA’s welterweight champion Alex Lohore (13-1) looking to defend his strap against undefeated SBG Ireland product Richard Kiely (2-0).
