UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal Results

Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson picked up a unanimous decision victory in his welterweight fight with Geoff Neal. Both fighters clashed heads in round one, and the collision opened up nasty cuts on both fighters. It was Wonderboy who outshined Neal with superior footwork and impressive speed throughout the fight, enroute to victory.

Jose Aldo looked super impressive when he got the nod over Marlon Vera in their 135-pound co-main event. Aldo went on to call out former bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw in his post fight interview.

Rob Font returned from a year on the sidelines, a bad knee halted his career as he stepped into the octagon for the first time in 2020. Font knocked out former title challenger Marlon Moraes in round one and moves himself right into title contender status in the bantamweight division.

Former NFL star Greg Hardy started off well in his heavyweight encounter with Marcin Tybura but ran out of gas in round two. Tybura took advantage of Hardy’s dodgy gas tank, secured a takedown and pounded his way to a TKO victory. The Polish fighter is on a 4-fight win streak in the 265-pound division.

Anthony “Showtime” Pettis almost finished Alex Mororo in their welterweight battle on the prelims section on the card. Morono held on, but he didn’t do enough to take the win, as former lightweight champion Pettis went on to win a unanimous decision.

Jimmy Flick pulled off a sensational flying triangle choke finish in his flyweight bout with Cody Durden.
