UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Sakai Results and Highlights

Jairzinho Rozenstruik (11-2) went up against Augusto Sakai (15-2-1) in the main event of UFC Vegas 28 on Saturday night. Double Cage Warriors champion Mason Jones took on Alan Patrick on the prelims section of the card.

Manon Fiorot looked as dominating as even when she picked up her second win inside the famed octagon. The French woman took out Tabatha Ricci in the second round of their flyweight contest.

Former Cage Warriors double champion Mason Jones look sensational when he took on Alan Patrick in a lightweight contest. Jones was enroute to a one sided victory before he accidentally eye poked his opponent who was unable to continue. Jones is still without his first UFC win.

Makwan Amirkhani dropped a decision loss to UFC newcomer Kamuela Kirk in the featherweight division.

Canadian heavyweight Tanner Boser came within a whisker of beating Ilir Latifi in their heavyweight showdown. Latifi survived and that moment was not enough to sway the judges as the Swedish fighter took home the split decision victory on the night.

M. De La Rosa stopped Ariane Lipski with some brutal ground and pound in the second round of their flyweight encounter.

In what was a fight for the ages, Santiago Ponzinibbio had to dig deep, and come from behind in his welterweight fight with Miguel Baeza. Baeza started well and looked in control of the fight but his Argentinian opponent never gave up and battled back to pick up the win on the judges scorecards. This was a phenomenal fight.

Walt Harris started off his heavyweight battle with Marcin Tybura like a bat out of hell, landing big shots early days on his Polish counterpart. Harris faded as the fight went on as Tybura slowly started to turn the screw. Tybura went on to finish the fight by TKO in round two.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik got back into the win column with an explosive knockout over Augusto Sakai at the end of round one in the main event. A pretty uneventful first round came to life once the ten second clapper sounded, Rozenstruik proceeded to come forward and landed some huge shot bring the fight to a sudden halt before the buzzer sounded to end the round.
