In what was a really close fight that could of went either way it was the former champion Dillashaw came out on top in a split decision. Sandhagen was disapointed not to get the decision, he cut open the right eye of Dillashaw and popped his rival’s knee with a leg lock in round one. Dillashaw showed that he still has that champion mentality to persevere and get the nod. A title shot against the winner of Yan/Sterling fight will be next in line for the former champ.
