The inaugural Irish National MMA Championships are set to go down from the 18th – 20th of February at SBG HQ in Dublin. Winners from each category will secure a spot for the IMMAF European Championships later this year. Winners of the Senior categories for Women’s Flyweight and Bantamweight and Men’s Bantamweight through Heavyweight will earn a spot on Team Ireland for the upcoming MMA Super Cup.
Rules and regulations for the 3-day event as per IMMAA are as follows.
Rules and Regulations
Fighters must weigh in on each day they fight between 8 am and 9 am and pre-fight medical straight after. You do not weigh in on days where you have a bye.
First fights start at 10 am sharp and will run in order of weight (lowest weight first)
There is no weight allowance and no second chance to make weight. Missed weight is a DQ.
No spectators or entourage.
2 coaches per club maximum
The venue will be functioning as per usual as a private gym with classes and other clients, so please keep your area tidy and don’t interfere with the classes in progress.
For the draw, no 1 and no 2 seeds will be on opposite ends of the bracket and they get the first bye. All other byes are allocated randomly
Fighters from the same team will be on opposite ends of the bracket
Some divisions did not have more than one entry and therefore the following fighters that entered the Nation Championships won an automatic Gold medal.

Certain divisions only have two entries and both fighters will meet on finals day except for one fight which is also part of a 3 round robin, highlighted in the schedule. Divisions with more than two entries were drawn live on the IMMAA Facebook page on the 11th of February.
