Lee Hammond (2-0) is set to face Bogdan Blajan (2-1) in a lightweight contest at Heroes Fight League 3 on Friday 18th March in Bucharest, Romania. The promotion officially announced the matchup on Wednesday morning.

Hammond will be coming into the fight fresh off the back of his blistering performance at Bellator 275, where he scored a 1st-round TKO over Jamie Hay (2-0) inside Dublin’s 3Arena. The SBG Ireland prospect once again showed his striking prowess, landing a flush knee from the clinch to put Hay down, before following up with a barrage of strikes.

The 25-year-old Dubliner will make his second appearance under the Heroes Fight League promotional banner when he steps into the cage with Romanian Blajan. Like his Bellator Debut, Hammond’s professional debut at Heroes Fight League 2 saw the Jiu-Jitsu phenom display his vastly-improved striking arsenal en route to a 1st-round TKO.

Bogdan Blajan will be looking to build on his 1st-round submission win at Heroes Fight League 1. The kneebar finish won him Submission of the Year for the promotion in 2021.

SBG Ireland are set to command a strong presence at the Bucharest event, with Cian Cowley returning to MMA action, and Ion Pascu (21-10), who most recently won the Heroes Fight League middleweight belt, is scheduled to face Rene Wollinger (11-7-1) in an 80kg catch-weight matchup in the main event.

Heroes Fight League 3 takes place on Friday 18th March and can be watched here.
