After announcing her move to the pro ranks with Combate Global, Nadine Abbott-Bissett is set to make her pro debut on September 9.

Sources revealed to SevereMMA that the Team Ryano fighter has signed to fight against #8 ranked atomweight Anna Somers (1-1) in her debut.

The Atomweight standout has been on a tear this year, winning five fights in as many months. She started the year in spectacular fashion, becoming the 2021 IMMAF Atomweight World Champion. Her run to gold saw her finish both Tuymegul Zhunys and Vridhi Kumari in style, before battling to a decision with Jenna Horto in the final.

Since becoming a World Champion, Abbott-Bissett opted to test herself in the Strawweight division, winning a National Title against Lisa Houston, as well as a UKFC belt in her most recent bout with Hayleigh Heather.

By signing with the promotion, she became the fourth Irish fighter to sign with Combate Global, and the first from Team Ryano.

Her opponent, Anna Somers turned pro in late 2021, losing her debut to Chelsea LaGrasse. Somers has since fought under the Combate Global banner on one occasion, defeating Irlanda Galindo vis submission in the opening round.
