Irish Team and Day 1 Schedule for 2022 IMMAF European Championships

Ireland have brought a strong team of seventeen fighters to the upcoming 2022 IMMAF European Championships, which kick off on September 27.

The team is mostly filled by those who competed at the 2022 Irish National Championships and EMMAA Four Nations Championships. C-MAC’s Keith Keogh and SBG Naas fighter Conor McCarthy are amongst the standout names on the team as they make their debut on the IMMAF stage. Let’s not forget about the “King of Hell”, Andrew Barrett, who is hoping to get off to winning ways in his IMMAF competition after showing just how good he is at the National Championships.

After graduating from the Youth ranks, Jordan Scully has been thriving in the amateur ranks and is set to compete in the Junior Welterweight division. Satori BJJ also have their first fighter on the Irish team in Jake Ngai.

Plenty of the MMA SuperCup team will be competing too. Kerry Ann Vernon is one that will be hoping to add more finishes to her already impressive highlight reel. She was training in Brazil with Amanda Ribas ahead of the tournament. While strawweight entry Kian McCarton also travelled abroad before the competition, training in Bangtao Muay Thai in Thailand.
