Breaking: Shauna Bannon to Rematch Kerry Isom in Cage Legacy 18 Main Event

Undefeated Irish prospect, Shauna “Mama B” Bannon (3-0), will rematch Kerry Isom (1-2) in the main event of Cage Legacy 18 on Sunday 4th December. The promotion revealed the bout to SevereMMA.com on Thursday morning.

A two-weight champion under the Cage Legacy banner, Bannon won the strawweight title in her professional debut, finishing Isom inside two rounds in front of a hometown Tallaght crowd at Cage Legacy 15. The Holohan Martial Arts fighter went on to capture the flyweight title with a first-round stoppage of Chi Attoh two months later at Cage Legacy 16.

Building on her success on the Irish regional scene, Bannon was snapped up by leading all-women’s promotion Invicta FC. The then 28-year old made her Invicta debut in September, besting Nadia Vera (3-0-1) over three rounds to take a dominant Unanimous Decision victory.

Looking to stay active, Bannon will temporarily return to the domestic scene as she defends her Cage Legacy strawweight title against familiar foe, Kerry Isom. Isom has not competed in MMA since losing to Bannon in April.

Cage Legacy 18 looks set to be a busy night of Irish MMA action inside The Big Top at the Red Cow Inn complex. The event is expected to showcase 20 MMA fights with 7 championship fights across amateur and pro. It will also serve as a homecoming for Dubliner Dylan “The Nuke” Tuke, who faces Nikola Ivanovic (0-4) for the Cage Legacy pro featherweight belt.

The first fight will kick off at 3pm on Sunday 4th December, and fans can purchase tickets at Tickets.ie. Cage Legacy also announced on social media earlier today that their events will be broadcast on Fite TV.
