John Lineker vs. Stephen Loman Preview

Top bantamweight MMA contenders John Lineker and Stephen Loman will collide in a pivotal battle that will affect the shape of their division at ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham on Prime Video.

The pair will lock horns on Saturday, 30th September, when ONE returns to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the second time this year.

For former ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion John Lineker, the bout comes as a quick turnaround following his late knockout stoppage of divisional newcomer Kim Jae Woong at ONE Fight Night 13 in August.

“Hands of Stone” surged back into the firefight late into the third round. And with only four seconds left on the clock, the Brazilian brawler scored a massive finish to place him right back in the World Title fold.

The win cemented Lineker as the #1-ranked contender in the division, and he’s now firmly on the cusp of seeking redemption against ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Fabricio Andrade – whom he lost to this past February.

But looking to make his own claim at a World Title shot is #2-ranked contender Loman. The Filipino has been impenetrable since arriving in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

“The Sniper” has dispatched Yusup Saadulaev, Shoko Sato, and former bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes in his first three promotional outings to assert himself as one of the division’s top dogs.

Those wins have added to his 11-fight winning streak, and he’ll be seeking his biggest scalp yet when he meets Lineker at ONE Fight Night 14. Should he score another dominant victory, he’ll undeniably be the man to challenge Andrade’s MMA World Title first.

However, the winner of this World Title eliminator will have to remain patient for now, as “Wonder Boy” is preparing to go for the division’s vacant kickboxing crown against ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai king Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 15 on 6th October.
