Paul Redmond to face Rob Sinclair at BAMMA 30

Multiple sources have confirmed to SevereMMA.com that Paul ‘Redser’ Redmond will face former BAMMA champion and Bellator veteran Rob ‘C4’ Sinclair at BAMMA 30 at the 3 Arena in Dublin on July 7.

Sinclair returned to action last September at FCC 17 after being sidelined for over a year, where he recorded a decision loss to lightweight champion Charlie Leary.

Redmond is coming off a close decision loss to fellow UFC veteran Norman Parke at BAMMA 28 in Belfast. The Dubliner has publicly criticized the decision from the February showdown and is adamant that it will only take one win for him to re-establish himself in the BAMMA lightweight title picture.

“Even though I lost the last fight, I think a lot of people still had me winning it, so I don’t feel like I never left the title conversation,” Redmond told Newstalk last month. “I think I’m right up there with the best of them.

“I doubt that I’ll be put into a title fight straight away because, no matter what way I feel about the result, I did lose my last fight.

“For me, if I win this next fight I could be looking at another crack at the belt.”
